Anyone with anything positive/reuring about bankruptcy? Any experience, thoughts, comments, etc?

I filed bankruptcy years ago, and wish i would have done it sooner. It was the best thing I ever did. Now I know the laws have changed but you start getting car loans and credit card applications in the mail right way. They know you can't file again for 7 years so your not a risk...granted the interest rates suck but its better than I could have gotten before my bankruptcy. Also if you work on your credit score by getting a credit card and paying it off on time you credit score will go up and in a couple years if you get your score high enough you can buy a house with the same interest rate as anyone else. You don't want to use a credit union though, when you bank, for loans ect, most do not report to credit agencies, and banks do, thats what you need to work on your credit score....Good Luck.... you'll be fine...better off!
