Do you think 'The Sweet Escape' by Gwen Stefani is an innovative & diverse album with a creative spark to it?

I don't think it's a particularly diverse album. A lot of the songs sound similar to each other and to her first solo album. But it is a very creative effort. Gwen actually made yodeling cool - not even Jewel was able do that! She isn't the strongest singer or the most innovative songwriter but all of the songs are appealing on some level. I like that she took a chance and wasn't afraid to evolve beyond the traditional No Doubt sound.
