New Florida Gator fan, and I have a couple of questions?

I am moving to Florida and I want to root for a local team. Question one is, Do I need an extensive rap sheet to be a fan, or just to be a player? Second, if little Earle wants to be a Gator, should he join a particular gang at 10, or should he wait? And if so, which gang?
